 VISA® Debit Card 

The Heritage Valley VISA® Debit Card is an ATM and debit card in one! Use your VISA® Debit Card everywhere that VISA® debit cards are accepted and leave your checks at home! Transactions are automatically deducted from your Heritage Valley checking account, interest free.

Your card even works for online purchases, and with the Verified by VISA® feature, you’re protected against unauthorized use when you shop online at participating merchants. Just like using your PIN at an ATM, all you do is enter your private password during your online checkout. Once your identity is confirmed, your purchase is complete. It’s fast, easy, and provides additional security!

You can also use your Heritage Valley VISA Debit Card® to make withdrawals through ATMs and point-of-purchase terminals just by opting for "debit" and entering your PIN instead of opting for "credit" and signing for your purchase.

*Remember to select "credit" and sign for your purchase (when you do not need cash back) to protect yourself against unauthorized transactions.

Verified By VISA®

 Verified by Visa is a no-cost service that adds another level of safety to your card. You simply choose a personal password for your card.

Then when you shop at participating online stores, you enter your Visa credit card number, followed by your Verified by Visa password. It's that easy! You've shopped safely online!

Verified by Visa enhances your card safety because it is connected to your card, not your computer. If your card number is ever compromised, for whatever reason, Verified by Visa helps prevent unauthorized use online before it can even happen.

FREE Coin Counting!

Members of Heritage Valley can have their loose change counted for FREE* using our self-service coin counting machine at our East York/Main Office and South York Office location! No need to spend time counting and rolling your coins when our machine can do it for you and it's as easy as 1, 2, 3! Stop by and try it out today!

• The coin machine counts pennies ($0.01), nickels ($0.05), dimes ($0.10) and quarters ($0.25). Machine cannot accept Eisenhower coins.
• Coin machine automatically counts coins and produces receipt. The receipt is then taken to the teller window to be deposited or exchanged for cash.

Go paperless with more access, more security, and less clutter! Enjoy the many benefits of e-statements by receiving your account statement through online banking for free.

Safe Deposit Boxes

To help keep your valuable safe, Safe Deposit Boxes are available at our East York/Main Office and South York Office's. Annual fees are:

Western Union and Wire Transfers

Heritage Valley offers the convenience of domestic or international wire service, as well as Western Union service.

Domestic Wires can be made to any financial institution in the United States and Puerto Rico for a $20.00 fee. To receive a domestic wire into a Heritage Valley account, the charge is $10.00.

International Wires can be made to foreign financial institutions almost anywhere in the world. The charges for these wires are $40.00, either into or out of a Heritage Valley account.

Western Union wires can also be made domestically or internationally. These would be useful to send funds to someone who does not have a financial institution, or who is traveling and is suddenly in need of money. The fees are $25.00 domestically, and $35.00 plus 2% of the amount of the wire for international service.

Money Orders

Money orders are available at all Heritage Valley offices. They are a safe alternative to mailing cash, for those without a checking account.

Money orders cost $4.00 at Heritage Valley. They are free to our members who are part of the Heritage Gold program.

Official Checks and Certified Checks

Official Check are checks that are generated by the credit union when a member withdraws from their own account, and requests a credit union check. These checks cost $5.00, unless they are made payable to the member, in which case, they are free.

Certified Checks are the member's own check, which the credit union certifies for him or her. These checks cost $5.00.

Courtesy Pay

Unforeseen circumstances happen to us all...and usually at just the wrong time! You make an honest mistake in your checkbook and it leaves you a "little short" to cover all of your outstanding checks.

That's why Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union offers Courtesy Pay, an added member service that protects you from the embarrassment and expense of returned checks.

• Protection from the embarrassment of returned checks
• Protection from merchant returned check charges
• Protection from collection agency fees
• Protects your good credit rating.

In addition to covering your checks and ACH transactions, Heritage Valley may approve everyday debit card and ATM transactions to help you avoid those potentially embarrassing situations.  To be protected by this additional Courtesy Pay Protection service, you must give your "opt-in" authorization.  Find out if you are eligible.
